PT Hartadinata Abadi Tbk (HRTA) reaffirmed its confidence in the gold business outlook for the remainder of 2026. Although the price of this precious metal commodity experienced a correction phase last June after reaching its highest level, the company considers these dynamics to be normal in the global market.
Investor Relations Director of Hartadinata Abadi, Thendra Crisnanda, explained that gold demand fundamentals remain very solid. Various supporting sentiments, such as global geopolitical uncertainty, global central bank interest rate policies, and the increasing awareness of the Indonesian public in saving gold through the bullion ecosystem, are the main drivers of the company's optimism.
Data shows that although the average global gold price fell by around 8% in June, the gold price in Indonesia actually recorded an increase of around 5.5% year-to-date. This condition was triggered by the weakening of the Rupiah exchange rate as well as the continued high demand from global central banks, which continue to accumulate their gold reserves.
Responding to these market challenges, HRTA is focusing on strengthening good corporate governance and risk management to maintain business sustainability. This step is in line with the views of several analysts, including those from BCA Sekuritas and BNI Sekuritas, who assess the current price correction as only a short-term adjustment, while the long-term outlook for gold issuers remains attractive.
The confidence of HRTA's management is also reflected in its impressive financial performance in the first quarter of 2026. The company successfully recorded a 196.96% surge in revenue, with net profit increasing by 189.48% year-on-year. This achievement was driven by a 75.18% increase in the sales volume of pure gold.
Moving forward, HRTA is committed to continuing to innovate and expand strategic collaborations, such as partnerships with the banking sector. This strategy is expected to facilitate public access to secure gold savings instruments, while simultaneously strengthening HRTA's position as a major player in the national gold industry ecosystem.
