The technology sector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) showed interesting cash flow dynamics at the beginning of 2026. Based on financial reports released by 35 issuers in the sector for the first quarter of this year, a significant shift in the liquidity management of digital companies in Indonesia is apparent.
PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) successfully recorded an impressive achievement by topping the list of tech sector issuers with the highest net increase in cash and cash equivalents. The company recorded Rp920.60 billion, a drastic surge of 588.87% compared to the same period in the previous year (year on year/YoY).
This achievement highlights how tech issuers are beginning to implement operational efficiencies and asset optimization amid existing market challenges. It should be noted that these financial data were converted from US Dollars to Rupiah using a benchmark exchange rate of Rp16,993 per US$ applicable in Q1 2026.
