The civil society coalition incorporated in the Republic Conference movement is scheduled to hold a national consolidation titled 'The Path to Reorganizing the Republic' at the Salemba Campus, University of Indonesia, Jakarta, on Sunday, June 28, 2026. This meeting serves as a strategic momentum for various elements of society, including students, to be actively involved in formulating the agenda for improving national democracy.
General Secretary of the Republic Conference Committee, Yanuar Nugroho, ensured that student attendance is highly open in this forum. Although they do not formally represent student executive bodies, the participation of individual students is expected to enrich the discussions in formulating the platform and future work program of civil society. This step also includes establishing the institutional design and pioneering management that will oversee the implementation of the consolidation results.
The agenda will open with a reflection session featuring national figures such as the former Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said and the Deputy of the Executive Office of the President (KSP) for politics, law, and defense for the 2016-2023 period, Jaleswari Pramodhawardani. The series of events will then continue with three plenary sessions to draft the civil society's position, which will later conclude with the reading of an epilogue by YLBHI Chairman Muhammad Isnur and a performance by the music group Efek Rumah Kaca.
This national consolidation is a follow-up to a similar meeting at Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, in May 2026. Previously, this movement highlighted the weakening function of democratic institutions and the cross-sectoral crisis threatening citizen relations. Through this consolidation, civil society aims to strengthen self-organization to reorganize the foundation of the republic, which is deemed to be experiencing a decline.
