The Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC Indonesia) is proactively ensuring the readiness of the Red and White contingent for the 2026 Asian Games, to be held in Aichi and Nagoya, Japan. This step is taken as a concrete effort to guarantee that athletes can compete with full focus without significant non-technical obstacles.
The General Chair of NOC Indonesia, Raja Sapta Oktohari, along with the Indonesian Chef de Mission (CdM), Todotua Pasaribu, conducted a series of working visits to Japan. The main focus of the visit was to carry out diplomatic coordination with the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) in Tokyo and inspect the readiness of supporting infrastructure directly, ranging from competition venues to medical facilities for the athletes.
During the field inspection, the Indonesian delegation visited various crucial points, such as the JRA Equestrian Park, Nagoya Kyoritsu Hospital which is projected as the referral hospital, and recovery facilities to maintain the athletes' physical fitness. This step aims to map out logistics, transportation, and accommodation convenience in detail.
Raja Sapta Oktohari emphasized that comprehensive support system preparation is key to ensuring every athlete has the maximum opportunity to achieve success. The synergy between NOC Indonesia, local authorities, and the local organizing committee (AINAGOC) continues to be strengthened to create a conducive environment during the event.
The 2026 Asian Games are scheduled to take place from September 19 to October 4, involving the participation of 46 countries. With early preparations underway, the Indonesian contingent is optimistic about delivering their best performance on Asia's biggest sporting stage.
