State logistics agency Perum Bulog officially launched a new business district named Perdana Avenue in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, on Wednesday (22/7/2026). This strategic step was taken in an effort to optimize state-owned land assets that have not been fully utilized to provide economic added value for the local region.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by various stakeholders, including local government representatives, members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), and related business partners. The Deputy Chief of Pontianak City Police, AKBP Hendrawan, was also present to provide full support from the police force for this regional economic development project.
On a separate occasion, Pontianak City Police Chief Kombes Pol Endang Tri Purwanto, through Deputy Chief AKBP Hendrawan, expressed high appreciation for Bulog's innovation. He assessed that converting idle land into a commercial hub will not only stimulate local economic growth but also open up new business opportunities and create jobs for the people of Pontianak.
In addition to being a center for commercial activities, the Perdana Avenue area is also projected to support food security stability in West Kalimantan, which is one of the main pillars of Perum Bulog's mandate. The synergy between business utilization and food security is expected to have a long-term positive impact on the welfare of residents.
Closing his statement, AKBP Hendrawan emphasized the commitment of the Pontianak City Police (Polresta) to maintaining a conducive public security and order situation (kamtibmas). This is considered crucial so that various economic development and investment programs in the Pontianak jurisdiction can run safely and smoothly.
