PT Asuransi Jiwa Sequis Life has reaffirmed its commitment to empowering female entrepreneurs in Indonesia through an educational program titled the Sequis SHEPRENEUR Learning Series. In the recently held second phase of the workshop, female micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) owners were equipped with vital strategies: protecting digital data assets and leveraging the potential of the creator economy to expand market reach.

This educational initiative is deemed crucial given the rapid digitalization in the country, which is accompanied by the shadow of cyber threats. Sequis Life's Data Protection Officer, Atika Rahma, explained that with Indonesia's internet user population now exceeding 235 million, personal data is no longer just ordinary information, but an economically valuable asset that must be protected to maintain reputation and business continuity.

Atika presented alarming data showing that hundreds of thousands of accounts have been affected by data breaches, with national losses due to cybercrime estimated to reach trillions of rupiah. To minimize these risks, she urged female entrepreneurs to implement simple yet consistent security measures, such as enabling two-step verification (2FA), avoiding banking transactions on public Wi-Fi, and complying with the Personal Data Protection Act (UU PDP).

In addition to focusing on security aspects, the training also dissected business expansion tactics through the optimization of digital marketing, guided by Professional Entrepreneurship Consultant, Trisnia Anchali Kardia. She emphasized that the creator economy ecosystem offers a golden opportunity for local brands to build public trust instantly while boosting sales conversions.

However, Anchali cautioned female entrepreneurs not to be easily swayed by follower counts when choosing content creator partners. The key to successful collaboration lies in audience alignment and a strong engagement rate. Through this initiative, Sequis Life hopes to continue producing financially literate, digitally resilient female entrepreneurs who are ready to compete in the modern market.
