Pangdam II/Sriwijaya, Major General Ujang Darwis, M.D.A., personally led a joint sports agenda involving key officials (PJU) and Heads of Executing Agencies (Kabalak) of Kodam II/Swj on Friday (July 10, 2026). The event, which took place at the Mabekangdam II/Swj Field in the Benteng Kuto Besak (BKB) area of Palembang, served as a strategic means to foster harmony among unit leaders.
Accompanying the Pangdam during the event were the Chief of Staff of Kodam II/Swj Brigadier General Iwan Ma’ruf Zainudin, Inspector of Kodam II/Swj Brigadier General M. Fachmi Rizal Nasution, and other senior officials, including Commander of Korem 044/Gapo Brigadier General Khabib Mahfud. The presence of these leaders demonstrates a collective commitment to maintaining a dynamic workflow through physical wellness.
The series of activities began with a joint warm-up session before proceeding to friendly matches in several sports, such as volleyball, table tennis, and lawn tennis. The relaxed competitive atmosphere on the field concluded with a social gathering at the Mabekangdam II/Swj tennis area, which was used to exchange ideas in an informal setting.
Major General Ujang Darwis emphasized that this routine agenda is not merely a physical activity to maintain fitness, but an important instrument for fostering team solidarity and cohesion. According to him, strong synergy among officials serves as the main foundation for ensuring the effectiveness and smooth execution of the unit's core duties in the future.
