Welcoming the commemoration of the 80th Bhayangkara Day, the Gunung Mas Resort Police (Polres) carried out a humanitarian action through a home renovation program for residents in need. This concrete action was led directly by the Chief of Gunung Mas Police, Adjunct Senior Commissioner (AKBP) Heru Eko Wibowo, in Kurun Village, Kurun District, on Tuesday (7/7/2026).
This program targeted the residence of Robi Aju (35), a resident of Paulus Sawal Street who previously lived in a house in poor condition. Through collaboration between the Gunung Mas Police, the local government, and various related parties, the building has now been transformed into a sturdy, safe, and livable home.
In his speech, AKBP Heru Eko Wibowo emphasized that the momentum of Bhayangkara Day must be interpreted as an effort by the National Police to get closer to the community. He stressed that the role of the police goes beyond law enforcement, acting as public servants and protectors with a high level of social concern for the welfare of citizens.
The house handover ceremony was marked by the symbolic presentation of the key, accompanied by the Head of the Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Office of Gunung Mas Regency. In addition to the house, the police also distributed financial assistance, while the Gunung Mas Police Branch of Bhayangkari also provided support in the form of gift packages to the beneficiary family.
The Police Chief hopes that the presence of this new home can improve the quality of life for Robi Aju's family while also triggering other elements of society to continue promoting the culture of mutual cooperation (gotong royong) in the Gunung Mas area.
