PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk held a free health services program for hundreds of residents in Mentok District, West Bangka Regency, on Saturday (1/8/2026). The social activity, centered at Wisma Sriwijaya and Wisma Majapahit, was carried out to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the state-owned enterprise (BUMN) with the theme "Timah for the People" ("Timah Untuk Rakyat").
A total of 115 residents from various parts of the region took advantage of this opportunity to undergo free medical examinations. Public enthusiasm was evident from the orderly queues since early morning. This social service program was also integrated with mass circumcision activities for local children.
Biah (56), a resident from Terabik Village, expressed her gratitude for the program. In addition to accompanying her grandson for the mass circumcision, she used the opportunity to check her own health complaints, such as body aches, stomach problems, and blood sugar levels. Biah hopes that PT Timah's free health services will eventually directly reach her village, which has limited access to public health facilities.
Similar appreciation came from Mayasari (25), a resident of Kampung Tanjung, who brought her child for medical treatment and circumcision. She praised the friendliness of the medical staff and the provision of supporting facilities like free snacks and medicine. According to her, the presence of the Healthy Mobile ("Mobil Sehat") fleet is a tangible form of the company's social concern for the community.
Another resident, Harti (44) from Dusun VI Belo Laut, also admitted that she was greatly helped by this free treatment after receiving information from her husband. This mobile health service is considered a practical solution for residents experiencing health issues, as well as a form of the company's sustainable contribution to the welfare of the local community.
