PT Pegadaian (Persero) is now entering a new phase of growth after strengthening its strategic synergy with the Danantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara). This collaboration serves as a catalyst for the company to accelerate business transformation while consolidating its position as the driving force behind an integrated and sustainable national gold ecosystem.

As of May 2026, Pegadaian successfully recorded a total of 153.72 tons of managed gold. This achievement is the result of the company's aggressive efforts in improving public financial literacy, aiming to shift the paradigm of gold from a mere traditional saving to a liquid and productive investment instrument. As the only Gold Bank in Indonesia, Pegadaian now manages the supply chain from upstream to downstream, ranging from gold processing at Galeri 24 to providing international-scale storage facilities.

This step aligns with the commodity downstreaming agenda promoted by the government in the Asta Cita program. By developing a comprehensive bullion ecosystem, Pegadaian plays an active role in processing raw materials into high value-added products capable of stimulating the domestic economy while strengthening national economic sovereignty.

The company's financial performance also showed an impressive trend in the first quarter of 2026. Through April, Pegadaian posted a net profit of IDR 4.38 trillion, soaring 87.2 percent compared to the same period in the previous year. This growth is also reflected in the total assets exceeding IDR 183.8 trillion and an increase in gross Outstanding Loans (OSL) to reach IDR 153.6 trillion.

President Director of PT Pegadaian, Damar Latri Setiawan, stated that this achievement is the result of the dedication of all company employees and the trust of its customers. Moving forward, Pegadaian is starting to spread its wings into the international arena by establishing funding cooperation with Japan's Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), up to the opening of its first overseas branch office in Timor-Leste.

Not stopping there, the company is also finalizing the development of Gold Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) products. This innovation is designed to provide flexibility, transparency, and ease of access for investors in the capital market, further confirming Pegadaian's readiness to compete in regional and global markets.
