The Master's Program (S2) in Physical Education, Faculty of Sports Science, Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) made a strategic academic visit to the School of Pharmacy, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) on July 24, 2026. The meeting focused on discussing opportunities for cross-disciplinary research collaboration and curriculum innovation to improve the quality of higher education at both institutions.
During the visit, both parties held intensive discussions regarding the implementation of modern learning models and curriculum development relevant to current trends. This initial step is expected to pave the way for a productive, long-term partnership through various programs such as joint research, guest speaker exchanges, and scientific publications at both national and international levels.
This academic synergy is also designed to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The main focus of this collaboration is directed toward strengthening the quality of human resources (SDG 1), developing integrative research in the fields of sports, health, and pharmacy (SDG 3), and improving the quality of education (SDG 4) through learning innovation.
Furthermore, this strategic partnership is expected to trigger the birth of technological innovations and research infrastructure (SDG 9), promote responsible research practices (SDG 12), and strengthen environmentally oriented research (SDG 13). The implementation of this cooperation is a real manifestation of the importance of building global partnership networks for the advancement of shared science (SDG 17).
