PT Chandra Daya Investasi Tbk (CDIA), through its subsidiary PT Chandra Shipping International (CSI), has finalized a strategic agreement to acquire a 40 percent stake in PT Armada Maritim Persada (AMP), a subsidiary of PT Petrindo Jaya Kreasi Tbk (CUAN). This corporate action, involving an investment value of USD 90 million or equivalent to IDR 1.46 trillion, aims to drive business expansion in the maritime logistics sector.

In an official statement submitted to the Indonesia Stock Exchange, CDIA management stated that this investment was executed through the subscription of new shares issued by AMP. This strategic move is projected not only to accelerate business growth but also to provide significant economic added value for the corporate group through future dividend contributions.

Senior Analyst at Mirae Asset Sekuritas, Nafan Aji Gusta, highlighted that this step represents a crucial vertical integration to strengthen the supply chain within Prajogo Pangestu's business ecosystem. The synergy between CDIA, which operates in shipping and ports, and CUAN's mining logistics needs is believed to create a more stable revenue stream and ensure more optimal asset utilization.

Despite promising growth potential, analysts warn that this business integration is not without challenges. Factors such as massive capital expenditure needs for fleet development, global commodity price fluctuations, and operational expenses related to marine fuel prices require management to remain vigilant in maintaining operational efficiency.

As a demonstration of confidence in these business prospects, Mirae Asset Sekuritas issued a buy recommendation for CDIA stock with a target price of IDR 740 per share. The success of this integration is seen as a key factor in maintaining long-term revenue stability for the company.
