The Denpasar City Government solemnly performed the Bhakti Penganyar ritual as part of the Piodalan Satunggil Warsa series at Pura Mandhara Giri Semeru Agung, Lumajang Regency, on Sunday (5/7/2026). The ceremony, which coincided with Rahina Redite Pon Wuku Medangsia, was attended directly by the Mayor of Denpasar I Gusti Ngurah Jaya Negara, Deputy Mayor I Kadek Agus Arya Wibawa, and the Regional Secretary of Denpasar City I Gusti Ngurah Eddy Mulya.

This spiritual event was also attended by several key figures, including Pangrajeg Karya Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati, members of the Denpasar City Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), leaders of women's organizations, and heads of regional agencies within the Denpasar City Government. The ceremony unfolded with grandeur, featuring offerings of various sacred dances, ranging from the Rejang Renteng and Rejang Taksu Bhuwana dances to the Baris Gede dance performed by village heads (lurah and perbekel) from Denpasar City. Mayor Jaya Negara even participated in performing the Topeng Keras dance.

The joint prayer procession was led by Ida Pedanda Gede Dwija Padang Rata from Griya Kutri, Gianyar. In his remarks, Mayor Jaya Negara emphasized that the momentum of this piodalan is not merely an annual ritual, but a crucial occasion to enhance sradha bhakti (devotion) and maintain harmony in life based on the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana.

Meanwhile, Manggala Karya Cokorda Gede Indrayana noted that Pura Mandhara Giri Semeru Agung continues to serve as a spiritual gathering center for Hindus from both Bali and Java. The 2026 piodalan series is scheduled to last for 11 days, from June 29 to July 10, with active participation from other regional governments such as Surabaya City and Sidoarjo Regency as a tangible manifestation of religious brotherhood.
