The Padel sports tournament organized to commemorate the 80th Bhayangkara Day in Palu City, Central Sulawesi, officially closed on Sunday (12/7/2026). Held at Vamoz Padel, the series of competitions concluded with a trophy presentation ceremony to the winners by the Director of Special Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimsus) of the Central Sulawesi Regional Police, representing Police Inspector General Nasri.
Throughout the tournament, participants displayed high enthusiasm by showcasing competitive play while maintaining fair play values. Championship titles were awarded to athletes across various categories, including the pair Elias and Rahmat for Bronze Men, and Lisa and Andin for Bronze Women. Meanwhile, the Low Bronze category was won by the pairs William and Roben, as well as Nurul and Mihrum.
Head of Public Relations for the Central Sulawesi Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Djoko Wienartono, through Acting Head of Public Information Sub-division Police Commissioner Reky Moniung, emphasized that this event was a strategy by the National Police to build an emotional bond with the public. According to him, sports are not merely physical competitions, but an effective means to foster togetherness and promote a healthy lifestyle within the community.
Furthermore, the police hope that this event will become a sustainable positive momentum. In addition to nurturing talented padel athletes from Central Sulawesi, the tournament is expected to continue strengthening cross-sectoral collaboration. The spirit of togetherness fostered during the competition is hoped to support the creation of a more conducive public security and order (kamtibmas) situation in the Central Sulawesi region.
