The Tojo Unauna Police (Polres), Central Sulawesi, through the Ulubongka Sector Police (Polsek), demonstrated real concern for community welfare by providing free health checkups and medical treatment. The activity, which took place on Monday (13/7/2026), focused on residents of Takibangke Village, Ulubongka District, as an effort to reach residents living in areas with limited access to medical facilities.
Ulubongka Sector Police Chief, Inspector Muhajir Wonti, stated that this health visit program is a concrete implementation of the National Police's (Polri) presence among the community. By directly visiting residential areas, the police want to ensure that every individual, especially those in remote areas, still receives adequate and proper healthcare services.
A total of 45 residents of Takibangke Village were recorded receiving benefits from general checkups and free distribution of medicine during the activity. Public enthusiasm was quite high, given that geographical challenges and the lack of health facilities in their residential area are major obstacles to accessing routine medical treatment.
In its implementation, the Tojo Unauna Police collaborated with the Tojo Unauna Regency Health Office. This cross-sectoral collaboration is considered crucial to ensure the quality of service is maintained while educating residents on the importance of a healthy lifestyle for a better quality of life.
Responding to the activity, Ps Head of Public Information Sub-division of Central Sulawesi Regional Police, Police Commissioner Reky Moniung, expressed appreciation for the initiative taken. He emphasized that this step aims not only to provide medical assistance, but also serves to strengthen trust and partnership between Polri and the community as a tangible form of public service.
