Hundreds of Pekanbaru City residents crowded the social service activity organized by the Indonesian Tax Consultants Association (IKPI) Pekanbaru Branch on Sunday (26/7/2026). This humanitarian action, centered at the Secretariat Office of the Selat Panjang Chinese Family Association (IKTS), Jalan Tanjung Datuk, was held to commemorate the 61st anniversary of IKPI.
The eye examination service was one of the most popular programs for visitors. More than 250 residents participated in the checkups, with around 200 of them taking home free reading glasses to support their daily activities.
Not only eye checkups, IKPI Pekanbaru also provided various other health facilities. In collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) and Prodia, the public could access blood donation services, blood pressure and blood sugar level checks, medical consultations, acupuncture therapy, and free eye cleaning facilities.
The Chairman of IKPI Pekanbaru Branch, Rubialam S. Pane, explained that the high public interest proves that the need for affordable basic health services is still very high. Therefore, his party collaborated with various strategic partners so that residents could get comprehensive medical checkups in one location.
This community care action is guaranteed to continue. IKPI Pekanbaru has scheduled a series of subsequent blood donation activities in three different locations throughout August 2026, namely at The Central Plaza on August 23, Mal Pekanbaru on August 29, and MTC Panam on August 30.
