Joint officers in Padang City rounded up nine nightlife visitors in an Identity Raid (Operasi Yustisi) held on Sunday (26/7) in the early hours. This enforcement action was taken because the visitors could not produce their Identity Cards (KTP) during the inspection.
This joint operation involved personnel from the Padang City Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), the Indonesian Military (TNI) Military Police, and the National Narcotics Agency (BNN). The presence of the joint team aimed to maintain public order while ensuring compliance with regional regulations.
The Head of the Operations and Control Section of the Padang City Satpol PP, Harvi Dasnoer, directly led the raid at several nightlife spots. In addition to checking visitors' identities, officers also monitored business owners' compliance with Padang City Regional Regulation (Perda) Number 1 of 2025.
Based on the inspection results, officers secured five women and four men. The nine individuals were then taken to the Padang City Satpol PP Headquarters to undergo data collection and further examination by Civil Servant Investigators (PPNS).
The Head of the Padang City Satpol PP, Chandra Eka Putra, emphasized that similar operations would be held regularly as a preventive measure. He urged the public to always carry their personal identification when engaging in activities outside the home to support a conducive environment in Padang City.
