The Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) area in Jakarta was filled with the enthusiasm of thousands of runners on Saturday (4/7/2026). In a running event titled Bhinneka Run 2026 under the theme "Different Stories, One Finish Line", more than 2,500 participants from across the country gathered to celebrate the spirit of togetherness amidst diversity.

Along the route, the atmosphere of the race was rich with cultural nuances. Organizers presented various attractions ranging from traditional music performances to supporters wearing traditional Nusantara attire. This made the Bhinneka Run not merely a physical competition, but a festival celebrating national identity.

Rahayu Saraswati, initiator of the event, emphasized that sports have proven to be the most effective instrument in bridging differences. She mentioned that the high enthusiasm of participants reflects the public's desire to live healthily while strengthening brotherhood bonds. Furthermore, the event carried a humanitarian mission, with registration fees allocated to support the development of athletes with disabilities and the provision of books as educational resources.

Echoing this sentiment, Co-Initiator M. Husein Fadlulloh stated that the diverse backgrounds of participants were actually the primary strength of the event. He hopes the combination of physical fitness and cultural values will continue to be nurtured to maintain stability and unity in Indonesia.

In the competitive categories, Anggiat Sihombing secured first place in the Men's 10K Open category with a time of 31 minutes 57 seconds, while Dwi Tiansi Anggraini led the women's category with a time of 37 minutes 57 seconds. In the 5K category, Syamsuddin Massa and Isania Tarigan recorded the fastest times in the men's and women's divisions, respectively. Meanwhile, the 3K Fun Run category served as a platform for public participation in celebrating a healthy lifestyle.
