Investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted a search at the residence of a local businessman from Purworejo Regency, Lilik Budi Supriyanto (LBS), on Saturday (1/8/2026). This legal action was taken following Lilik's arrest by the anti-corruption agency over an alleged legal case currently under investigation.
The search process, which took place at Lilik's residence on Jalan DI Panjaitan, Purworejo, was witnessed directly by the local neighborhood association (RT) chief, Hariyono. A total of 11 KPK officers reportedly arrived at the location starting at 1:00 PM WIB to search for several documents, evidence, and to secure a private vehicle belonging to Lilik for investigation purposes.
This law enforcement action shocked local residents, as Lilik is known as a generous figure who is active in social and community activities. Before being detained by officers, he had even promised to fund a single organ music performance to enliven the commemoration of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia in his neighborhood.
According to the RT chief, Lilik has frequently provided basic food assistance and acted as a donor for various community events since settling in the area in 2004. The former police officer, who is now retired, is known to be friendly and always socializes well with his neighbors.
Although they regret the cancellation of the independence entertainment plan due to this legal process, local residents expressed their respect for all ongoing legal procedures. Now, the further investigation is fully handed over to the KPK to prove the alleged case involving the businessman.
