The moves of Indonesia's 7th President, Joko Widodo, who has begun conducting political safaris post-retirement, are now under sharp scrutiny from experts. Professor of Constitutional Law at Sebelas Maret University (UNS), Prof. Agus Riewanto, highlighted that this series of agendas is a strategic effort by Jokowi to keep his political network and loyal volunteer base solid.

Agus assesses that this action opens the door for a scenario he terms "Jokowism 2.0." This includes the potential to orbit successor figures from his family circle, such as Gibran Rakabuming Raka or Kaesang Pangarep, while simultaneously positioning himself as a patron for a new political axis independent of the dominant influence of major parties like Gerindra or PDIP.

Furthermore, he emphasized that Jokowi's influence at present is felt more at the national elite level than through electoral effects at the grassroots. His status as an "X factor" forces major political powers to continue taking his position into account. This makes political rivalry no longer black-and-white, but rather a pattern Agus calls coexistence with competition.

In his analysis, the relationship between Joko Widodo, President Prabowo Subianto, and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka cannot be categorized as either opposition or subordination. Instead, the relation is a form of mutual symbiosis designed to secure collective political interests facing the upcoming national contestation in 2029.
