Bone Regency achieved a stellar performance by winning the gold medal in the sepak takraw event at the 2026 South Sulawesi PGRI Sports, Arts, and Learning Week (Porsenijar). Their dominance was secured following a series of fierce matches held from July 2 to 4, 2026.

The gold medal presentation was conducted directly by the Regent of Sidrap, Syaharuddin Alrif, at the Sepak Takraw Court, Ganggawa Stadium Complex, Pangkajene, on Saturday (July 4, 2026). In this competition, Takalar Regency finished second to take the silver medal, while Bantaeng Regency and the Selayar Islands Regency shared the bronze medal.

Regent Syaharuddin Alrif expressed high appreciation for all athletes who demonstrated sportsmanship and exceptional play quality. He emphasized that this event is not merely about chasing victory, but serves as a crucial platform to strengthen brotherhood among educators across South Sulawesi.

Bone sepak takraw team manager, Rusyaid, expressed deep gratitude for his team's achievement. According to him, this gold medal is the fruit of dedication and long preparation by all athletes. He also extended special praise to the Sidrap Regency Government for its excellent service and the hospitality of its residents during the event.

"Sidrap's readiness as a host is truly remarkable. We feel proud of the maximum service from the committee and the warm welcome from the local community," said Rusyaid. He expressed hope that the success of this Porsenijar could serve as a stepping stone for Sidrap to be trusted with hosting larger-scale sporting events in the future.
