SAMBAS – The 129th Regular TNI Manunggal Membangun Desa (TMMD) program, initiated by Kodim 1208/Sambas, focuses not only on physical development but also touches upon the humanistic aspects of the community. One of the non-physical programs that received a warm welcome was the presence of the TMMD Task Force Medical Team, which provided direct medical services to residents in Tempapan Hulu Village, Galing District, Sambas Regency.
In this social action, military medical personnel did not only conduct general health check-ups and light treatments for free. They were also active in providing interactive education on the importance of implementing a clean and healthy lifestyle (PHBS) as a preventive measure to maintain daily body immunity.
The local community welcomed this program warmly by visiting the health post. Many of them felt greatly helped because access to friendly and responsive health facilities is now available directly in the midst of their settlement, creating a sense of security and care from the TNI ranks.
Through this activity, the 129th Regular TMMD Task Force hopes that the level of public health awareness in remote areas can increase significantly. In addition, this initiative is also expected to strengthen the unity and close emotional bond between the TNI and the local people.
