PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Regional Office (RO) 09 Bandung reported an impressive financial performance achievement in the consumer business sector throughout the first half of 2026. As of the second quarter, the company's total consumer business portfolio reached IDR 19.3 trillion, reflecting the resilience of the property sector in West Java amid global economic challenges and interest rate fluctuations.
Of that figure, Commercial Mortgage financing made a significant contribution of IDR 3.8 trillion, equivalent to 20 percent of the total portfolio. Meanwhile, Home Ownership Loans (KPR) through the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) scheme recorded IDR 555 billion. These results indicate that housing demand remains high despite monetary policy adjustments, including the increase in the BI Rate to 5.75 percent last June.
Regional Consumer Banking Head of BRI RO Bandung, Rindra Setyawan, explained that this growth was driven by a prudent credit distribution strategy and product innovations that meet public needs. One of the flagship instruments launched is the Tiered Interest Rate KPR. This program provides flexibility with a fixed interest rate of 4 percent for the first three years, for both 15-year and 20-year tenors, to ensure customer cash flow stability.
In addition to targeting the commercial segment, BRI RO Bandung remains committed to supporting government programs in providing housing for low-income communities through FLPP KPR. This product offers a competitive fixed interest rate of 5 percent for up to a 20-year tenor, which is considered a solution for people to own a home with fixed and affordable installments.
To maintain growth momentum, BRI is strengthening strategic collaboration with various prominent property developers in the Greater Bandung area. The main focus is directed at residential areas with high prospective value, such as Kota Baru Parahyangan, Podomoro Park, and Summarecon Bandung. Through this selective and innovative approach, the bank is optimistic about continuing to expand housing ownership access for West Java residents while maintaining optimal asset quality.
