Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) recorded an impressive financial performance throughout the period ending May 2026. This success is closely linked to the company's consistent business transformation and strategic synergy within the Danantara Indonesia ecosystem, which serves as the driving force for operational efficiency and capital optimization.
President Director of BTN, Nixon LP Napitupulu, emphasized that integration into Danantara has accelerated the company's path to becoming a more agile and modern bank. This strategy includes developing business 'beyond mortgage', strengthening digitalization, and improving governance, which have had a direct impact on BTN's business fundamentals amidst global economic challenges.
Based on the consolidated financial statements for May 2026, BTN posted a net profit of IDR 1.85 trillion, a surge of 54.37 percent year-on-year (yoy). This growth far exceeds the average of the national commercial banking industry, which, according to Financial Services Authority (OJK) data, only recorded a profit increase of 4.96 percent in the same period.
In terms of intermediation, BTN's total loans and financing reached IDR 403.06 trillion, growing by 9.97 percent, while Third-Party Funds (DPK) rose 9.09 percent to IDR 433.95 trillion. This achievement consistently stands above the national banking industry's credit growth of 8.62 percent and the industry's third-party funds growth of 4.29 percent.
Furthermore, Nixon explained that BTN continues to transform into a comprehensive financial partner for the public. By moving away from a sole reliance on the housing finance sector, the company is committed to delivering banking services that are more relevant, adaptive, and capable of providing sustainable added value for all stakeholders.
