The controversy surrounding the series of events at Bondowoso Digital Days 2026 continues to draw sharp criticism from various segments of society. The Branch Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PCNU) of Bondowoso Regency has publicly expressed deep concern over the alleged performance of an erotic dance during one of the entertainment sessions at the event.

The Chairman of PCNU Bondowoso, Muhammad Syaeful Bahar, emphasized that such entertainment is highly contradictory to the norms of decency upheld by the local community. According to him, as a region deeply rooted in religious values and Eastern customs, Bondowoso should present public content that is more educational and ethical.

The PCNU urges the organizers to conduct a thorough evaluation of the concept and implementation of similar events in the future. Syaeful Bahar stressed the importance of keeping public spaces friendly for all groups, especially the younger generation, by providing constructive entertainment that respects local wisdom.
