Police officers from the Mangkutana Police Station are conducting an intensive investigation into a local village head in East Luwu, South Sulawesi. This investigation follows an alleged act of violence or assault committed by the official against his business partner last Saturday (July 11).

Head of Criminal Investigation at the East Luwu Police, AKP Jody Dharma, confirmed that the assault occurred right outside a barbershop located on Trans Sulawesi Street, Mandiri Village, Tomoni District. As a result of the incident, the victim suffered an open wound to his left temple and required two stitches.

Based on preliminary statements from the police, the motive for the assault was allegedly triggered by the perpetrator's anger at the victim. Both were involved in a joint business operating a barbershop, but the perpetrator was dissatisfied with the victim's performance, viewing him as negligent in carrying out his duties.

Investigators are currently conducting a deeper inquiry into the complete chronology and exact motive behind the official's conduct. The reported individual is currently at the Mangkutana Police Station to provide an official statement for further legal proceedings.
