Cafe Lotus, located on Jalan KH. Mansyur No.168, Pabean, is no longer just a stopover for culinary enthusiasts. This popular restaurant in Sumenep has evolved into a strategic collaboration space for university students, graduates, and business owners to sharpen their skills in the digital business arena through the Digital Era Business School program.
In the latest educational event involving a distributor of herbal products, participants were equipped with various practical skills. The material covered included developing an entrepreneurial mindset, effective digital marketing techniques, strengthening personal branding, and capitalizing on economic opportunities through the TikTok affiliate program.
Coordinator of the Madura Online Business Community (BOM), Ilhan A. Aziz, emphasized that technological advancements have democratized business access. According to him, capital barriers are no longer the primary factor, but rather adaptability, networking capabilities, and keenness in identifying opportunities within a constantly transforming digital ecosystem.
"We want to empower the younger generation and MSME actors in Sumenep to be more adaptive and innovative. It is our hope that through this mentorship, more independent entrepreneurs will emerge, capable of competing on both national and international scales," Ilhan stated on the sidelines of the event.
The decision to make Lotus Sumenep the hub for these activities was no coincidence. Previously, this venue frequently hosted strategic meetings, including agendas from DRT Management focused on digital marketing assistance for local MSMEs. This phenomenon solidifies Cafe Lotus's position as a driving force behind an inclusive creative economy ecosystem in the Sumenep region.
