The Badung District Police (Polres Badung) has tightened security in the tourist areas of Canggu and Batu Bolong Beach, Badung Regency, Bali. This measure was implemented by strengthening the Blue Light Patrol to maintain public peace and order (kamtibmas) amidst high tourist mobility, especially from night until early morning.

The patrol, which took place on Monday (3/8/2026) at around 02:00 WITA, was led by personnel from the Turjawali Unit of the Samapta Public Order Patrol Unit of the Badung Police. Utilizing official vehicles equipped with body-worn cameras, officers combed along Jalan Raya Canggu to the Batu Bolong Beach area. The main focus of this patrol targeted vulnerable locations such as parking areas, crowded centers, and nightlife districts.

Head of the Samapta Unit of the Badung Police, AKP Made Mangku Bunciana, explained that the intensification of this patrol is a preventive effort to suppress potential criminal acts, including burglary, robbery, motor vehicle theft, and street thuggery. The presence of police on the ground is expected to provide an immediate sense of security for both local residents and foreign tourists.

In addition to conducting visual surveillance, officers on the ground also interacted with business operators, parking attendants, and local visitors. The public is urged to remain vigilant, double-lock their vehicles, not leave valuables unattended, and limit alcohol consumption to avoid physical conflicts.

Until the patrol ended, the security situation in the Canggu to Batu Bolong corridor was reported to be safe and under control with no prominent incidents. The police hope that active collaboration between officers, business owners, and the public will continue to be established to maintain Badung's image as a safe and comfortable tourist destination.
