Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) technology company, AutoFlight, has collaborated with Alatau Advance Air Group Ltd. (AAAG) to showcase the future of air transportation at the 2026 Games of the Future held in Astana, Kazakhstan. During the prestigious phygital sports festival, they presented a live demonstration and an interactive exhibition of the electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
Previously on July 24, a successful test flight of the one-ton air taxi was conducted in the skies of Kazakhstan's capital. The advanced emission-free vehicle was then officially showcased throughout the 2026 Games of the Future, attracting the attention of over 800 participants from 50 countries.
This milestone follows a successful maiden test flight held in Alatau City in May 2026. Through a strategic partnership with AAAG, AutoFlight is committed to accelerating the commercialization of flying taxis by developing smart infrastructure and regulations that support regional connectivity in Central Asia.
AAAG Chief Executive Officer, Sergey Khegay, emphasized that this aerial demonstration is not merely a temporary technology showcase, but part of a long-term vision. According to him, the local government is thoroughly preparing the supporting ecosystem, from regulatory aspects to physical infrastructure, to integrate air taxis into the national transportation network.
Meanwhile, AutoFlight Senior Vice President, Kellen Xie, added that their eVTOL technology is designed to be versatile, serving tourism, logistics, intercity travel, and emergency response sustainably. Moving forward, AutoFlight's global expansion will continue to target collaborations with international regulators to realize green urban mobility.
