The Government of Belarus has declared its readiness to collaborate with Indonesia in strengthening the national food security sector. This commitment was conveyed directly by the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, after holding a bilateral meeting with President Prabowo Subianto at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Thursday (2/7).
On that occasion, Belarus offered comprehensive support that is not limited to the trade sector, but includes technology transfer, agricultural mechanization, and industrial capacity development. Belarus is considered to have a competitive advantage in heavy industrial technology and modern equipment, such as tractors and agricultural machinery, which are relevant to supporting the country's food sector development agenda.
Furthermore, President Lukashenko emphasized that this strategic partnership is aimed at creating long-term benefits for Indonesia. This includes plans for training the local workforce and establishing joint ventures focused on increasing domestic content level (TKDN). This step is expected to accelerate the independence of Indonesia's agricultural sector through sustainable technology mastery.
In addition to the technology sector, Belarus is also opening up opportunities to meet Indonesia's staple food commodity needs, such as dairy and meat products. This collaboration is a key element in the cooperation roadmap of the two countries targeted until 2030, with the main vision of increasing productivity and public welfare by strengthening the foundation of the national industry and agriculture.
