The Gaia Bumi Raya City area has reintroduced cinema entertainment facilities for the people of Kubu Raya and its surrounding areas. As of Wednesday (7/1/2026), Bioskop XXI has officially resumed operations with a separate building concept named Gaia Extension.
Gaia Bumi Raya City Manager, Onov Yohansen, stated that the return of the cinema is a strategic step to enrich recreation options for local residents. The management is optimistic that reopening this facility will boost visits to the Gaia area while providing an enhanced movie-watching experience.
Furthermore, Onov mentioned that the cinema's operation offers convenient access for Kubu Raya residents. With the opening of this branch, the community no longer needs to travel far to the center of Pontianak City to enjoy the latest movies on the big screen.
In addition to accessibility, the management offers competitive ticket prices so that it can be enjoyed by various levels of society. For showtimes from Monday to Thursday, ticket prices are set at Rp30,000, while on Friday, tickets are sold for Rp40,000. As for the weekend—Saturday and Sunday—the price is set at Rp50,000.
