BLITAR – In an effort to strengthen national food security and boost the welfare of local farmers, the Indonesian Farmers Association (HKTI) of Blitar Regency held a socialization and dissemination of modern agricultural technology on Tuesday (4/8/2026). This strategic agenda involved dozens of farmers, representatives of farmer groups, and stakeholders in the local agrarian sector.
Representing the Chairman of HKTI Blitar Regency Mujib, the Chairman of Indonesian Youth Farmers (PTI) Blitar, Fredy Agung Kurniawan, emphasized that the introduction of this technology is a crucial step. According to him, the rapid and appropriate adoption of agricultural innovations is urgently needed to reduce production costs while multiplying yields.
Fredy urged farmers to gradually leave behind conventional methods, which are considered less efficient. Adaptation to cutting-edge innovations is seen as the main key to facing the challenges of increasingly unpredictable global climate change and maintaining the stability of land productivity.
During the event, participants were provided with various practical materials, ranging from modern cultivation systems, selection of superior seeds, precision fertilizer use, integrated pest management, to the optimization of agricultural machinery (alsintan) for field work efficiency.
Not just presenting theories, this event also served as a forum for interactive discussions for farmers to solve real problems in the fields. Through close collaboration between HKTI, the local government, and academia, Blitar Regency is targeted to become a food barn supporting the nation with competitive and sustainable commodities.
