The Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) of Gunung Mas Regency, along with the Regency Government, officially agreed on three draft local regulations (raperda) during the 4th Plenary Meeting of Session Period III for the 2026 Legislative Year on Monday (6/7). This agreement marks a new milestone in strengthening the foundation of governance and accelerating the regional economy.

The three approved regulations include the Draft Local Regulation on the Accountability of the Implementation of the 2025 Fiscal Year Regional Budget (APBD), the Draft Local Regulation on Guidelines for the Management of Regional Property, and the DPRD Initiative Draft Local Regulation on the Empowerment of Micro Enterprises and Development of the Creative Economy. The signing process was carried out directly by the Chairman of the Gunung Mas DPRD, Binartha, along with Regent Jaya S Monong.

In his explanation, Binartha emphasized that the discussion of the APBD Accountability Draft Regulation had gone through a comprehensive evaluation process by the DPRD Budget Committee. This step was taken to ensure that every regional financial allocation is executed with principles of transparency and accountability in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations.

Regarding the asset management regulation, the regional government now has a stronger legal basis to organize Regional Property in an orderly and administrative manner. This is expected to minimize potential asset issues in the future and provide clear legal certainty in the utilization of regional wealth.

On the other hand, the passing of the Draft Regulation on the Empowerment of Micro Enterprises and the Creative Economy brings a breath of fresh air to local business actors. This policy is designed as an instrument of protection and a driver of growth for MSMEs to be more competitive and scale up within the creative economy ecosystem in Gunung Mas.

The legislature reaffirmed its commitment to continuing to optimize its oversight and budgeting functions to ensure that the implementation of these policies has a significant impact on the welfare of the wider community. The synergy between the executive and legislative branches is expected to create an increasingly conducive business climate for the future progress of the region.
