To build awareness of the importance of health from an early age, the community service team of Universitas Muhammadiyah Gombong (UNIMUGO) in collaboration with the Klopogodo Village Midwife and the Gombong II Public Health Center organized a free blood type testing program. The event, themed "Healthy Since Adolescence", targeted dozens of youths in Klopogodo Village, Gombong District, Kebumen Regency.

A total of 35 teenagers actively participated in the activity. In addition to receiving physical examinations, they were also educated on the significance of blood types in medical emergencies, such as the need for rapid transfusions or emergency blood donations, as well as its role as a crucial part of each individual's health identity.

Before the medical examinations began, the participants attended an interactive counseling session on healthy lifestyles for teenagers. The implementation team provided ample space for discussion for the teenagers to consult on various physical health issues they often face in their daily lives.

Head of the Community Service Team, Wulan Rahmadhani, S.ST., MMR., Dr. PH, explained that understanding one's blood type is a simple preventive step with a long-term impact. This knowledge is expected to encourage teenagers to get regular health check-ups in the future.

The cross-sector synergy between UNIMUGO academics and local healthcare institutions received warm appreciation from local residents. Many participants admitted it was the first time they accurately found out their blood type, while also understanding the importance of this personal medical data.
