SUMEDANG – The Regent of Sumedang, H. Dony Ahmad Munir, accompanied the Director of the Global R&DB Center (GRC) and the ASEAN Smart City Program (ASPP), Dr. Junsook Ioseph Hwang, during a working visit to inspect various public facilities in the Sumedang Government Center (PPS) area on Friday (24/7/2026).

The visit began with a joint sports activity on the PPS running track. Afterward, the group continued their inspection of the waste management area located at the back of the government complex. At this location, they observed firsthand the sorting of non-organic waste and the utilization of maggots to decompose organic waste in an environmentally friendly manner.

In addition, Regent Dony and Prof. Hwang also monitored several available sports facilities, such as the mini soccer field, volleyball court, and the fish pond cultivation area. This inspection aimed to ensure that all supporting facilities in the PPS area are functioning well while maintaining their physical quality.

Regent Dony emphasized the importance of these sports facilities in fostering healthy lifestyle habits among the State Civil Apparatus (ASN). According to him, physically and mentally healthy apparatus will be more productive and enthusiastic in providing excellent service to the general public.

Furthermore, Dony explained that the structuring of the PPS area is not merely intended as an administrative government center. The area is designed to be a model for a healthy, green, and environmentally sustainable work environment to support the realization of a modern, high-performing bureaucratic reform.
