The 2026 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) witnessed the global debut of JAECOO's innovative technology through the launch of the J7 SHS-P hybrid SUV. This environmentally friendly vehicle is the first model equipped with Super Intelligent Valet Parking (SIVP) technology, a smart feature that allows the car to independently search for a parking space and automatically pick up its driver.

Carrying the slogan "Come to You, Park for You", this SIVP technology offers two highly practical main functions: Smart Parking and Smart Summon. Through the Smart Parking feature, drivers can get out of the vehicle first and let the car search for an empty parking slot and park itself. Conversely, the Smart Summon feature makes it easy for owners to call their vehicle to a pickup point using only a smartphone application.

To support this autonomous capability, JAECOO equips the J7 SHS-P with a highly advanced intelligent driving system. The car features 27 sensors and monitoring cameras around the body, including 128-channel dTOF LiDAR technology and millimeter-wave radar capable of detecting objects at a distance of up to 280 meters in the front area and 200 meters to the side. The visual data is then processed in real-time by the Intelligent Driving Domain Controller to ensure the parking maneuvers are carried out safely.

The initial phase of implementing this cutting-edge technology is scheduled to begin in October 2026 at around 40 strategic locations in Indonesia. JAECOO aims to expand the service to cover more than 60 points by the end of 2026, including shopping centers, office buildings, and other public areas. The synchronization of these new location data will later be sent directly to the vehicle's system wirelessly via over-the-air (OTA) updates.

The presence of the SIVP feature on the JAECOO J7 SHS-P marks a new chapter in the adoption of autonomous driving technology in the country's automotive market. This innovation is not only a practical solution to the limited parking spaces in dense urban areas, but also underscores the development direction of future smart vehicles that prioritize safety, efficiency, and everyday user convenience.
