Joint officers from the North Kalimantan Regional Police (Polda Kaltara) along with elements of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) conducted a Discipline Enforcement and Order (Gaktib) operation at several nightlife venues (THM) in Bulungan Regency on Saturday (1/8/2026) night. This preventive measure aims to maintain public order and security (kamtibmas) while monitoring the discipline of personnel in the field.
This integrated operation began with a readiness briefing at 23:30 WITA before personnel combed locations considered prone to security disturbances. A total of 43 joint personnel were deployed in this patrol, consisting of elements from the Bidpropam of Polda Kaltara, Propam of Polresta Bulungan, Satbrimobda Battalion A, Ditreskrimum, Ditresnarkoba, to the Army Military Police (Pom TNI-AD).
Under the direct responsibility of the Head of the Propam Division of Polda Kaltara, the field operation was led by the Inspector of the Provost Sub-division of the Propam Division of Polda Kaltara, Police Inspector Second Class (Ipda) Haposa Juniar Antoni Nainggolan. Utilizing service vehicles from their respective units for mobility, the joint team visited several nightlife venues in Bulungan, including Cafe 55, Cafe 66, Grand Oriental, Mex KTV, Mahadewi, Diva 1, B_Space, and Buzz Society.
In addition to conducting strict surveillance of nightlife activities, officers also educated visitors to always maintain public order. Based on the results of the thorough inspections conducted throughout the operation, officers did not find any TNI or National Police (Polri) members violating regulations by being present in these entertainment venues. Random urine tests performed on visitors also returned negative results for drugs.
Through this Gaktib operation, which proceeded safely and smoothly, the Polda Kaltara and TNI ranks reaffirmed their commitment to continue working in synergy to anticipate all potential security and public order disturbances, ensuring the comfort of Bulungan residents, particularly at night.
