PT Jetour Sales Indonesia officially introduced its latest adventure SUV line, the Jetour T2 i-DM, at the 2026 GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). Featuring Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) technology, this vehicle is designed to offer a combination of robust performance, optimal energy efficiency, and an impressive range that exceeds 1,200 kilometers on a single full charge of the battery and fuel tank.
The presence of this eco-friendly SUV is an answer to the dynamic mobility needs of the Indonesian people. The Jetour T2 i-DM is not only reliable for daily mobility in congested urban streets but also tough for long-distance intercity trips or nature tourism destinations where public electric vehicle charging station (SPKLU) facilities are still limited.
Marketing Director of PT Jetour Sales Indonesia, Moch Ranggy Radiansyah, explained that the Intelligent Dual Mode (i-DM) technology featured is not just a combination of a conventional engine and an electric motor. More than that, the system is designed to work synergistically and intelligently to provide maximum comfort, efficiency, and flexibility relevant to driving characteristics in Indonesia.
The powertrain of the Jetour T2 i-DM is equipped with a fifth-generation ACTECO 1.5 TGDI hybrid-specific engine capable of producing 136 PS of power and 220 Nm of peak torque, with a thermal efficiency reaching 44.5 percent. This gasoline engine is paired with a 3-Speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (3DHT), dual electric motors, and an LFP battery from CATL with a capacity of 18.4 kWh. The synergy of the entire drive system generates a combined power of up to 224 PS and an abundant torque of 390 Nm.
To support user practicality, the vehicle's battery is backed by DC Fast Charging technology capable of charging from 30 to 80 percent in just 27 minutes. In terms of safety, the embedded CATL LFP battery has obtained IP68 certification. The durability of this battery is proven to be robust as it can be submerged in water up to a depth of one meter for 48 hours, withstand pressure loads of up to 10 tons, and is equipped with an emergency High Voltage Cut-Off system that can cut off the electricity in 2 milliseconds.
Driving safety is further reinforced by the Hardtop Cage Monocoque body structure which uses 80 percent high-strength steel, including 1,500 MPa strength material. This sturdy construction produces a torsional stiffness of up to 32,000 Nm/deg, which improves driving stability. Lastly, Jetour also equips this adventure SUV with latest-generation radar sensors and cameras to monitor road conditions in real-time to ensure active safety throughout the journey.
