Balen District's dominance in the Bojonegoro Regency Sports Week (Porkab) II football event was finally proven. In the final match held at Lt. Gen. H. Soedirman Stadium on Tuesday (7/7/2026), the Balen squad successfully defeated Ngraho District with a convincing 3-0 score.

Thanks to this result, the Balen contingent earned the gold medal, while Ngraho had to settle for silver. Meanwhile, the bronze medal was awarded jointly to Baureno District and Kepohbaru District, who shared the third-place position.

Vice Chairman of the Bojonegoro Regency National Sports Committee (KONI), Tonny Ade Irawan, explained that the decision for joint third place was based on the number of participating teams. Since the football tournament featured 16 teams, competition regulations mandated two bronze medalists.

"According to the rules, for sports branches with 15 or more participants, awards are given to the first, second, and two third-place winners," explained Tonny after the match. He added that this system is applied variably depending on the number of participants in each sports discipline.

To date, the Porkab II Bojonegoro event series is still ongoing until the closing ceremony. KONI has urged the public to keep monitoring medal tally developments, as the standings remain highly dynamic as various events conclude.
