The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) has officially announced the selection results of the radio frequency band auction for the 700 MHz and 2.6 GHz spectrum. In this process, XL Axiata (XLSMART Telecom Sejahtera Tbk) was selected as the first rank for the 700 MHz band, while PT Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel) emerged victorious in acquiring the 2.6 GHz band.
The selection results represent the peak of a series of processes that began on July 7, followed by the frequency band block selection stage which took place on July 8–10, 2026. Currently, the government is providing space for auction participants to submit objections regarding the selection results through the e-Auction system.
The objection period is scheduled to end on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 15:00 WIB. Komdigi emphasized that any objection must be accompanied by valid supporting evidence before the final report is submitted to the Minister of Komdigi, Meutya Hafid, for the issuance of the Winner Determination Decision.
After the winner status is ratified, the respective companies are required to pay the Radio Frequency Spectrum Usage Fee (BHP IPFR) in accordance with applicable regulations. More than just a financial obligation, the selection winners are also expected to have a strong commitment to supporting the acceleration of inclusive digital sovereignty across all corners of Indonesia.
