The GRID Cardio Rush (GCR) 2026 running event was successfully held in the Carstensz Mall area, Gading Serpong, Tangerang Regency, on Sunday (2/8/2026). Joined by around 1,500 participants from various regions, this sporting activity carried a dual mission: promoting an active lifestyle while encouraging environmental conservation through concrete tree-planting actions.

Under the theme "Run Today, Grow Tomorrow", the organizers implemented a sustainability concept through the "1 Ticket = 1 Tree" program. Through this initiative, every ticket purchased by a participant is automatically converted into one endemic tree seedling. All these seedlings will later be planted in the conservation area of the Mount Gede Pangrango National Park Authority (TNGGP) to support forest rehabilitation programs.

This environmental commitment was symbolically demonstrated during the opening ceremony through the handover of 1,500 tree seedlings from the Director of PT Amerta Jiwa Indonesia, Megawati, to the Head of Section for PTN Region VI Tapos of the TNGGP Authority, Apnaeni Henry Winarcahyo. The chosen tree species are endemic plants supporting the local ecosystem, including janitri, kisireum, pulai, riung anak, and salam. This mass planting is scheduled to take place on August 15, 2026.

The Event & Partnership Coordinator of GRID Fitness Hub, Suci Sugiyono, emphasized the importance of synergy between physical health and environmental preservation. According to her, GRID Cardio Rush is designed so that every step taken by participants has a broader socio-ecological impact on the planet. This collaborative step also received high appreciation from the TNGGP Authority, which considers the program highly helpful in accelerating the recovery of critical land in the conservation area.

The event offered two route categories, namely 5 kilometers (5K) and 10 kilometers (10K), which were joined by sports enthusiasts, running communities, and public figures such as Dewa United basketball player Lester Prosper, content creator Willie Salim, and musician Anji. Intense competition took place in the men's 10K category, with Hendrik Nainggolan emerging as the first-place winner, followed by Febtri Putra Zega in second place and Daniel Febrianto Aruan on the third podium.

In addition to traditional long-distance competition, GRID Cardio Rush 2026 also introduced an innovation called the Speed Rush Competition. This challenge tests participants' acceleration in sprinting the final 100 meters before crossing the finish line, providing a new competitive and entertaining dimension for all participating runners.
