An official identified as the Head of Tomoni Sub-district, East Luwu, with the initials FR, is now facing legal proceedings at the Mangkutana Sector Police. He officially admitted to committing an assault against a resident named Muh. Satria Saputra, causing the victim to suffer a laceration on his left temple that required two stitches.
The assault incident occurred on Saturday, July 11, 2026, in Mandiri Village, specifically in front of a barbershop. The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit at Mangkutana Police confirmed that FR underwent questioning on Sunday morning, July 12, 2026. In his statement to investigators, FR admitted to approaching the victim alongside his brother and striking him out of frustration over alleged misuse of funds and a failed joint business venture.
However, the narrative regarding a business partnership was strongly refuted by Satria. The victim insisted that he was not FR's business partner, but rather someone who felt exploited for the official's personal gain. Satria claimed he had been asked to assist with domestic affairs during the local election period without clear compensation, lured by the promise of a job at a barbershop business that never materialized.
Satria revealed that he was forced to leave FR's residence to look for another job after promises to pay his mobile phone installments were not kept. Tensions escalated when FR confiscated the victim's phone before committing the physical assault that has now led to a police report. Despite facing an official, Satria firmly stated he would not seek an out-of-court settlement and demands justice for the violence inflicted upon him.
