The thematic Student Community Service (KKN-T) group 21 from Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo (Umsida) successfully held an inclusive Elderly Posyandu activity at the Kendalsewu Village Hall. This program focused not only on clinical aspects but also touched upon the psychological side of the elderly through mental health education.

The event was attended by 55 elderly residents with full support from professional healthcare workers, including a midwife and two nurses, as well as the active involvement of eight local PKK (Family Welfare Movement) cadres. The Field Advisor, Andika Alviameita, also supervised the activity to ensure it ran in accordance with the set goals.

The series of events began with a fitness exercise session led directly by KKN students to warm up the participants' muscles. Afterwards, educational material titled "Staying Happy in Old Age" was delivered by Nabila Wulyandini, who emphasized the importance of positive thinking and maintaining social interactions to keep mental health intact in old age.

The leader of Umsida's KKN T 21, Muhammad Ali Fikri, emphasized that elderly health is a broad spectrum that includes physical and mental balance. He hopes this initiative can foster awareness in the community that psychological happiness contributes significantly to the overall quality of life of the elderly.

In addition to education, participants received comprehensive health check-up services, ranging from anthropometric measurements, blood pressure checks, to screening for glucose and uric acid levels. The results of these check-ups were immediately followed up with consultations with medical personnel and the provision of necessary medications.

A positive response came from one of the residents, Kasmini, who felt very helped by this activity. According to her, the combination of health services and practical education provides a new spirit for the elderly in Kendalsewu Village to live their golden years more productively and happily.
