Clean water distribution services for parts of Padang City are confirmed to experience temporary disruptions starting Saturday, July 25. This decline in supply quality occurs alongside the commencement of the infrastructure rehabilitation and reconstruction project at the Gunung Pangilun Water Treatment Plant (WTP).
The improvement project for the vital facility is being carried out by PT Hutama Karya. The main focus of this work targets intensive repairs on two accelerator units (sedimentation accelerator devices) at the treatment plant.
Before the physical work on the field officially begins, the contractor has reportedly completed a thorough inspection of material readiness. This preventive measure was taken to ensure that all reconstruction stages can run smoothly and on time.
