Efforts to increase national immunization coverage in Indonesia are becoming increasingly crucial amid challenges in ensuring equitable healthcare services. During World Immunization Week 2026, the active involvement of the private sector was highlighted as a decisive factor in expanding the reach of public protection against various preventable communicable diseases.
As a form of appreciation for its tangible contribution to the National Immunization Program, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia presented a special award to PT Wings Surya. The award was presented directly by representatives of the East Java Provincial Health Office and the Surabaya City Health Office to the company's management, which has consistently supported health programs from the COVID-19 pandemic to the present.
This collaborative step aims to strengthen the effectiveness of immunization in building herd immunity. Through various corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, the private sector is expected to become a strategic partner for the government in ensuring equitable immunization access for all children in Indonesia as the foundation for a healthy future generation.
PT Wings Surya management representative, Selviyani Dina, stated that this award serves as motivation for the company to continue consistently supporting the government's priority health programs. According to her, the success of immunization programs relies heavily on cross-sector synergy involving the government, the business community, medical personnel, and the active participation of the broader community.
Going forward, sustained support from various private entities is expected to close the gap in regional health challenges. The commitment to delivering a positive social impact through public health programs serves as a vital preventive step to safeguard national health resilience against future disease threats.
