The Kediri Regency Government has taken tactical steps to accelerate the handling of health issues in its region. The Regent of Kediri, Hanindhito Himawan Pramana, officially instructed all sub-district heads (camat) to immediately form a Health Task Force (Satgas) at the sub-district level to ensure the success of various priority health programs.

This strategic directive was delivered during a meeting with the heads of community health centers (puskesmas) and sub-district heads from across Kediri Regency at the Joyoboyo Room, Kediri Regency Government Office, on Monday (3/8/2026). This cross-sector task force is designed to strengthen coordination and accelerate responses to fundamental health issues, ranging from stunting, tuberculosis (TB), dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF), to supporting the smooth implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG).

One of the main focuses of forming this task force is regular data updates. Based on monitoring data, the prevalence of stunting in Kediri Regency showed a downward trend from 8.07 percent in August 2025 to 7.54 percent during the Weighing Month in February 2026. The Regent requested sub-district heads to closely monitor this data so that interventions by the regional government can be more precise.

In addition to emphasizing stunting cases, community health centers are also encouraged to expand the scope of services for the elderly and strengthen early tracing of infectious diseases such as TB and DHF. Synergy and harmonious communication between sub-district heads and heads of community health centers are considered key to the successful implementation of health policies in the field.
