The Islamic Students Association (HMI) Bengkulu Branch together with the HMI Alumni Corps (KAHMI) Bengkulu successfully held a healthy walk centered in Bengkulu City on Saturday (11/7/2026). The event was enthusiastically welcomed by dozens of participants who gathered to liven up the morning atmosphere.
More than just a walk, the series of events also included social actions such as blood donations and free health check-up services for the general public. This initiative embodies the organization's commitment to promoting awareness of healthy lifestyles and fostering social empathy within the community.
Assistant II for Economy and Development of the Bengkulu City Regional Secretariat, Sehmi Al Nur, highly praised the event. According to him, the collaboration established between students, alumni, and the government serves as an important momentum to maintain physical fitness while strengthening bonds of brotherhood among community elements.
Sehmi emphasized that the Bengkulu City Government is committed to continuing its support for various constructive programs initiated by HMI. He views HMI as a student organization with a long track record of producing many cadres of integrity, making it highly potential to be involved as a strategic partner in regional development.
Meanwhile, the General Chairman of HMI Bengkulu Branch, Muhammad Bintang Tuah Dinasti, stated that the series of activities is tangible proof of the organization's dedication to the community. Bintang stressed that HMI does not only focus on the internal dynamics of cadre regeneration, but also strives to provide a direct positive impact through social contributions beneficial to the residents of Bengkulu.
