H. Teuku Adian Makmur Rizqullah has been officially appointed as Chairman of the National Sports Committee of Indonesia (KONI) for West Aceh Regency for the 2026–2030 term. The decision was made by acclamation during the 13th Regency Sports Deliberation (Musorkab), which took place solemnly in the Hall of the Education Office Branch for the Meulaboh Area, Aceh, on Saturday (July 4, 2026).
The election process ran smoothly with full support from all voting delegates, consisting of officials from sports federations across the regency. This solid backing signals high expectations from West Aceh's sports community for Teuku Adian's leadership to drive significant achievements.
In his maiden speech, Teuku Adian expressed gratitude and appreciation for the trust bestowed upon him. He emphasized that the initial focus of his tenure will be on establishing a solid organizational structure to handle strategic sports agendas, including preparations for the Aceh Sports Week (PORA).
In addition to internal restructuring, Teuku Adian highlighted the importance of mapping sports disciplines. According to him, mapping high-performing and potential sports branches is crucial as a foundation for formulating more precise and targeted athlete development policies moving forward.
Furthermore, he committed to establishing strategic collaborations with the educational sector, including universities and schools. This synergy is expected to continuously identify and hone young athletic talents. Teuku Adian stressed that the success of sports in West Aceh is a collective responsibility requiring professionalism from all stakeholders.
