In an effort to strengthen the healthcare service system and maintain the availability of blood stocks in its region, the Mojokerto Regency Government (Pemkab) inaugurated a new mobile blood donation fleet belonging to the local Indonesian Red Cross (PMI). The launch of this mobile facility was led directly by the Regent of Mojokerto, Muhammad Al Barra, coinciding with the opening of the series of events commemorating the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia at the Pulorejo Village Field, Dawarblandong District, on Saturday (25/7/2026).
Regent Muhammad Al Barra explained that the presence of this new fleet is designed to reach the wider community. Using an active outreach method, this mobile blood donation unit will visit various government agencies, educational institutions, industrial areas, community groups, and rural areas in the remote corners of Mojokerto Regency to facilitate a quick and comfortable blood donation process.
This launch was part of the festive public celebration welcoming Independence Day. In addition to the inauguration of the PMI fleet, the event in Dawarblandong was also enlivened by a joint mass workout attended by around 1,500 residents, as well as a patriotic action displaying a 1,000-meter-long Red and White flag and installing a 2.2-kilometer-long flag along the roadsides.
The Assistant for Government and Welfare of the Mojokerto Regency Secretariat, Tatang Mahendrata, added that the launch of this operational vehicle marks the start of the 81st Independence Day celebration series, which will be filled with various social, religious, and sporting activities. The climax of the entire series is scheduled to take place at the independence ceremony on August 17, 2026, in the courtyard of the Mojokerto Regent's Office. Through this new facility, the Mojokerto Regency Government hopes that humanitarian services can run more responsively and have a real impact on residents.
