The Medical Commissariat of the Muhammadiyah Student Association (IMM) has once again demonstrated its social commitment by organizing a free health service action for the general public. The event, which carries the values of humanity and social concern, aims to facilitate access to basic medical check-ups, especially for residents in need.
In this social action, the IMM cadres, consisting of medical students, provided various free check-up facilities. The services provided included blood pressure checks, blood sugar level tests, cholesterol, uric acid, and direct general health consultations. In addition to physical check-ups, the residents who attended also received education on clean and healthy living behaviors (PHBS) to prevent various seasonal illnesses.
A representative of the organizers explained that this activity is a concrete implementation of the humanity pillar upheld by IMM. As future medical practitioners, medical students are considered to have a moral responsibility to serve the community directly, especially vulnerable groups who have limited access to formal health facilities.
This action received a warm welcome from local residents who enthusiastically queued since the morning to receive medical services. By collaborating with supervising doctors and alumni, IMM Medical hopes that this activity can continue to be held sustainably to improve public health at the basic level.
